Workload Automation Engineer

We seek a highly motivated and skilled Workload Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Workload Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing workload automation processes using industry-leading tools like Control-M and Automic, that streamline workloads and enhance overall productivity.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, assess workload demands, and develop tailored automation strategies that align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement complex workload automation solutions using Control-M and/or Automic WLA.


• Create and maintain job scheduling definitions, dependencies, and calendars.


• Monitor and manage automated workflows to ensure reliability and performance.


• Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., shell, Python, PowerShell) for automating tasks and processes.


• Integrate workload automation tools with various applications and databases.


• Collaborate with application teams to gather requirements for automation needs.


• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to job executions and scheduling.


• Develop and maintain documentation for workflows and automation processes.


• Evaluate and recommend new workload automation tools and technologies.


• Perform regular maintenance and updates to existing automation frameworks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.


• Proven experience in workload automation and job scheduling tools such as Control-M, AutoSys, Automic, or similar.


• Strong scripting skills (shell, Python, PowerShell, etc.).


• Experience with database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Postgre).


• Experience with operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows)


• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus.


• Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.


• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
