Communication Systems Engineer

On behalf of our client, a tech defense systems company with high-end technologies in the design and development of advanced products, we are currently looking for a self-driven Communication Systems Engineer, to join its team.

Your day-to-day

• Analysis of a communication system with a focus on tactical communication systems (land, naval, air), 5G and satellite systems.
• Physical and Functional system architecture and design.
• Coordination of design, development (prototyping), integration and testing/verification activities over the complete communication system lifecycle.
• Requirements management.
• Preparation of documentation.

What you will need

Required

• 5-year Diploma/Integrated Master in Electrical & Computer Engineering (with Major in Communications preferably) or University Degree with a MSc in Communications or Networking/Data Communications.
• Knowledge and experience with various wired and wireless communication systems, protocols & interfaces, cybersecurity issues & policies.
• Basic systems engineering experience (e.g. system architecture and design, systems documentation, system requirements).

Desired

• Experience in design, development, integration, testing and verification of communication systems (classified at different security levels).
• Experience with analysis and simulation tools, e.g. MATLAB, Simulink
• Experience in using MBSE tools to model complex systems and processes using SysML, UML, e.g. Enterprise Architect and tools for requirements management (e.g. DOORS).
• Knowledge in networking technologies (TCP/IP stack, switching, routing).
