CONSTRUCTION MANAGER / Senior Site Civil Engineer

ANICON. Sustainable Construction & Project Management is seeking an adept Site Construction Manager (Civil Engineer) with expertise in large Residential development and Building Construction Projects.  

The Construction Manager is responsible for project management and monitoring, including HS&E, Quality Assurance, Program adherence, and Cost Control as well as collaborating with all stakeholders, the technical, commercial, and MEP departments, subcontractors, and engineering professionals working on the project to ensure the team makes progress and meets goals.

This position requires relocation at the construction site at Mykonos island.

The candidate should possess fluency in both Greek as a native speaker and English at a very good level. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise a large-scale project and the everyday schedule of activities;
• Monitor & formulate project schedule from inception to structural works to MEP designs, architectural finishings to close out;
• Manage / Review the design and construction phases of the project;
• Reviews the work of project management engineers, civil, MEP, architects, consultants, contractors, etc. ;
• Prepare reports on works required for the property;
• Conduct on-site investigations and analyze designs, construction, schedules, reports, etc.);
• Assess potential risks, materials, and costs;
• Monitor supplies, and warehouse stock, such as materials, machines, and equipment;
• Ensure works are performed based on contractual agreement, time, etc., while maintaining high-quality levels;
• Ensures that all local, state, and national building codes, regulations, and safety precautions are followed and that stakeholders comply with guidelines and regulations.
• Deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required;
• Lead project site meetings;
• Review and approve of contractor monthly invoices;
• Efficient change order management and cost control;
• Uses scheduling software to update schedules, track progress, and document project progression. Reports on project issues and providing status updates;
• Perform other duties as may be required by the project and position.

  Requirements:

• Member of the Greek Technical Chamber TEE.
• At least 20 years on-the-job experience in a related field or significant work experience in a similar role particularly with Residential Design & Building construction, within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with tight timelines and ambitious goals.
• Project Management or Construction Management, previous experience is a must. 
• Experience in Value Engineering, following relevant national standards, and a comprehensive understanding of Work Breakdown Structure.
• An in-depth knowledge of construction procedures, building and safety compliance.
• Strong knowledge and ability to use design software and project management tools.
• Good interpersonal and supervisory skills.
• Decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
