Road Transport Team Leader

Trenkwalder for its client, a tank container operating company based in Greece, is seeking a Road Transport Team Leader, who will:

-Coordinates and executes Customer Orders for the prompt and efficient delivery of Ordered Products and Services from Production Origin to Customer premises.

-Develop sales, manage purchasing services and lead a small team of 2-3 persons

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicates with Customers and ensures accurate and prompt capture of Customer’s Orders into Companies Systems, for an efficient and effective implementation of the Order fulfilment.
• Liaise and coordinates with external cooperators (Truckers – Sea Liners – Road Carriers etc) for the timely and IFOT dispatch and delivery of ordered products.
• Ensures optimum services for the Customer at a minimum cost for the Unit with an optimum use of Company Equipment.
• Arranges shipments by checking equipment availability, vessel schedules, tracking control by anticipating delivery requirements, placing and expediting orders placed.
• Ships Orders by examining items, destination, route, rate, delivery time.
• Verifies items shipped by matching bills of lading, reconciling quantities, noting discrepancies.
• Keeps customers informed by forwarding notice of equipment availability, shipment date and method and current status by answering relevant quires by Customer.
• Forwards to Customers all documents related to specific orders placed.
• Implements prompt and accurate invoicing according to agreed terms with Customers.
• Updates all relevant files & Computer Systems of the Company in relation to executed orders.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Responsible for the implementation of SHEQ&sec.
• Develop sales of road transport services through new & current clientele, participation in tenders and spot requests.
• Optimize current supply chains implementing alternative routes, sourcing new suppliers, modes of transport etc
• Lead a small team of 2 persons (TL + 1) with potential to 3 - 4 persons, according to business development.

Απαραίτητα Προσόντα:

• University or TEI graduate with excellent command of at least one foreign language(if only one, English at proficiency level)
• Windows Word / Excel / Power point / emailing / Internet Explorer
• Knowledge of operational activities of the company
• Strong bias for action
• Strong personal commitment to HSSE
• Good understanding of management principles
• Good interpersonal, communication and networking skills
• Sound organisational and work planning skills
