DevSecOps Engineer

We are currently seeking a DevSecOps Engineer with strong technical expertise and a strategic mindset. In this role, you will focus on integrating security into our continuous deployment pipelines, supporting both cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure of our AI-Bioinformatics applications and ensuring compliance with best practices.

What your daily life will look like:

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
• Design, implement, and maintain security measures to ensure compliance with industry standards and data protection.
• Develop and enforce security policies and guidelines to protect company and client data.
• Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and apply corrective actions.
• Design, deploy, and manage both cloud infrastructure to support AI-Bioinformatics applications.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and security.
• Design, implement and maintain observability solutions.
• Support on-premises infrastructure. 
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, implementing effective solutions promptly.
• Document deployment processes and standard operating procedures, ensuring adherence to Agile methodologies via Confluence and Jira.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automations and security best practices.

What your strengths are:

• 3+ years of experience in CI/CD, deployment, and integration processes.
• Experience with facilitating Secure software development, lifecycle processes Proficiency in Python, automation techniques and microservice architectures. 
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure).
• Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift, and configuration management using Ansible or similar tools.
• Experience working with Terraform. 
• Experience with implementing networking, application and overall security monitoring solutions (eg. SIEM tools)
• Experience with compliance to security standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2 TYPE 2)
• Proven experience in large-scale systems, microservices management, and monitoring.
• Experience with Git
• Fluency in both Greek and English communication.

Nice to Have:

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with Python web frameworks (Django, Flask).
• Background in Systems Design, security audits, SOC2 or similar certifications, risk assessments, and vulnerability management.
• Strong understanding of privacy regulations and compliance standards, along with security protocols and cryptography.
• Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
