Responsibilities:

• Monitors and analyzes all technical and financial data related to the Generation and Supply portfolio of PPC S.A. and Greek electricity market (Day Ahead, Intraday, Balancing) in general, as well as data related to electricity and relevant energy products in the European markets (Power, TTF, CO2, etc.)
• Analyzes and models the electricity market of Greece (Day Ahead, Intraday, Balancing), as well as countries of Southeastern Europe in the medium term. Performs Stress tests, sensitivity analyses and economic scenario analyses
• Estimates the evolution of wholesale electricity prices (price projections) in Greece and abroad in medium term, as well as assesses the relevant open position (statement) of the Company regarding the relevant energy products (electrical energy, natural gas, CO2 allowances, etc.)
• Develops and costs relevant energy balances of the Company in the context of its participation in the wholesale electricity market in Greece and neighboring countries. Prepares relevant reports and presentations, based on the results of the models, with relevant proposals for the strategic management optimization of the Company's energy portfolio
• Maintains and develops further the energy market simulation models
• Uses specialized computing tools and techniques for data processing and analysis. Develops business tools and applications

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or in other sciences or financial directions
• Master’s degree in energy management will be considered an additional qualification
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience in the energy sector preferably with specialization in energy market analysis
• Very good knowledge of the operation of Greek wholesale electricity market
• Experience in the use of energy market simulation models (Plexos, LTSx etc.) will be considered an additional qualification
• Experience in managing a production portfolio in Greece will be considered an additional qualification
• Good knowledge of the English language
• Knowledge and use of VBA and/or Python will be considered an additional qualification
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) & Internet
• Availability in case of emergency (upon phone contact)
