The Role – Startup Analyst 

A Startup Analyst at Mantis BI is an expert who provides the company’s expertise to teams/startups. (S)he is a member of Mantis’ Business Creation Department and provides services to startups of all phases, from pre-establishment to exit. (S)he focuses on high-level analysis and provides reports to teams/startups on market research, finance, go-to-market strategy, business development, and operations, among other topics. Responsibilities 

• Work closely with teams in the idea generation process through startup ideation tools ( Business Idea Canvas, Business Model Canvas, Value Proposition Canvas) 
• Conduct analytical reports & market research (market size, competition analysis, customer segment and customer persona identification) considering the startup and business ecosystem. 
• Provide analysis on choosing the right business model for new ideas alongside revenue model & pricing strategy. 
• Support teams/startups to develop detailed cost structure of a product/service. 
• Analyse unit economics for products/services ( LTV, CAC, BEP) 
• Execute financial modelling creation for new ideas and/or startups 
• Conduct financial analysis for ideas and startups ( NPV, IRR, ROI) 
• Run feasibility studies for teams/startups 
• Support teams/startups in to designing operational processes and organizational structure. 
• Provide mentoring, training, and advice on business models, financials, go-to-market strategy, revenue models, sales, etc., sharing feedback and proposing changes. 
• Work closely with teams or startups to develop an investable business concept that can be materialised through an engaging pitch deck. 
• Support for designing the incubatee experience and keeping close communication with incubatees to raise engagement. 
• Plan, manage, and monitor the implementation of the incubation programs and the fulfillment of KPIs and milestones through Mantis Innovation Management Software (Mantis IMS). 

Qualifications 

• A graduate degree in engineering, business administration, finance, or a related field. An MBA is considered a plus. 
•  1-4 years of work experience 
• Acumen in the Fields of Industry 4.0, Startups & Innovation (or at least familiar with words, phrases, concepts, and methodologies) 

Background (preferable) 

• Previous experience in the startup ecosystem, whether by launching your own startup or working as a business analyst. 
• Business / Entrepreneurship background, finance or engineering background 
• If male candidate, fulfilled army obligations 

Hard Skills 

• Excellent research and reporting skills 
• Strong knowledge in financial modelling and business economics 
• Knowledge of statistical analysis 
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
• Proficient in problem identification and business process analysis. 
• Excellent English and Greek verbal and writing skills. 
• Presentation skills, including the ability to create compelling presentations and pitch decks. 
• Graphic design skills considered a plus
