Role Overview

The Lifeguard & Pool Boy ensures guest safety at the pool while maintaining a clean and inviting environment. This role combines lifeguard duties, including monitoring the pool and responding to emergencies, with pool maintenance and guest services.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Monitoring the pool area to ensure the safety of all guests and enforce pool rules and regulations.


• Providing immediate response to any emergencies, including administering first aid and CPR when necessary.


• Maintaining a focused watch over the pool, paying special attention to children and non-swimmers.


• Keeping the pool area clean and tidy, including poolside furniture, walkways, and surrounding grounds.


• Ensuring private pools in guest rooms are clean and ready prior to guest arrival, maintaining the same high standards as the main pool area.


• Regularly inspecting and cleaning the pool, ensuring the water is clear, balanced, and safe by maintaining water chemistry and filtration systems.


• Providing excellent customer service, assisting guests with pool-related needs and ensuring a pleasant experience.

• Valid Lifeguard Certification (e.g., Red Cross or equivalent).


• CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred).


• Previous experience as a lifeguard or in a hospitality-related role is preferred.


• Excellent knowledge of English language. Any additional language will be considered an asset.


• Experience with pool maintenance and water quality management is an advantage.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.


• Ability to stay calm and act swiftly in emergency situations.
