Role Overview
The Spa Therapist is responsible for providing high-quality spa treatments and services to guests, ensuring that each guest receives a relaxing and personalized experience. This role requires a thorough understanding of spa treatments, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to create a calm, welcoming atmosphere for clients.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Providing professional spa treatments, including massages, facials, body treatments, and other services according to guests' needs and preferences.
- Consulting with guests to understand their wellness needs and providing recommendations on treatments or packages.
- Ensuring guest comfort by explaining treatment options, answering questions, and creating a relaxing environment.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in treatment rooms and spa areas, ensuring all equipment and supplies are well-maintained.
- Promoting spa products and services to guests, providing information about aftercare and suggesting products for home use when appropriate.
- Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, embodying the values of the spa.
- Handling guest feedback, responding to concerns, and ensuring that any issues are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, new treatments, and product knowledge to provide the best possible service.
- Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of the spa environment, including restocking products, managing linens, and ensuring equipment is in good working condition.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Spa Therapist, Massage Therapist, or in a similar role in a luxury spa or wellness environment.
- Certification in massage therapy and/or other spa treatments (e.g., facials, body treatments).
- Very good knowledge of English language. Any additional language will be considered an asset
- Strong communication skills with the ability to make guests feel comfortable and relaxed.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow spa protocols and hygiene standards.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong guest service orientation.
