Role Overview

A steward assists in keeping a restaurant, bar, or lounge clean and sanitary, also helps in cleaning dishes, and tends to customers' needs

Key duties and responsibilities

• Ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, dishware, glassware, utensils, and other kitchen equipment to maintain high hygiene standards.


• Washing and cleaning dishes, pots, pans, and utensils using manual or automated washing equipment while ensuring proper sanitization.


• Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas, including floors, walls, countertops, and storage areas, adhering to hotel cleanliness and safety protocols.


• Assisting in the storage and organization of clean dishes and kitchen equipment, ensuring everything is stored correctly and accessible when needed.


• Supporting the kitchen team by handling food waste, disposing of garbage, and ensuring proper waste segregation in compliance with hotel and environmental standards.


• Assisting with the unloading and proper storage of deliveries, ensuring all items are stored in the correct locations and maintained in good condition.

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward, preferably in a hotel setting


• Ability to work efficiently under pressure


• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness


• Good communication skills

• Staff accommodation with Wi-Fi access & A/C


• Half board (Breakfast & Lunch)


• Ongoing training
