Job Summary

To source, coordinate Purchases until order is received. To conduct price comparisons amongst all suppliers on regular basis.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• To ensure all Purchase Requests are received with accordance to Purchasing Policies.


• To obtain price comparisons and checking the best offer with the most reliable supplier with credit facilities first.


• To check expiry dates on all Items (whichever applicable) prior to placing the order.


• To ensure all Purchase request are approved by relevant department heads.


• To ensure all Purchase request are submitted for approval prior issuing of Purchase Order.


• To ensure all Purchase Orders are being acknowledged receipt by suppliers and confirm status of delivery according to the date stated on the purchase orders.


• To ensure follow up are done on regular basis for all open purchases.


• To follow up with receiving department on regular basis to ensure that Open Purchase Order are closed as soon as goods are received.


• To follow up with suppliers with all the discrepancies report, either to get replacement or credit note, whichever applicable.


• To ensure that “Urgent” goods order are being communicated to the relevant person concerned or department heads with an update status until goods are received by the right person.


• To conduct spot check on goods upon arrival.


• To assist Purchase Manager with whatever information relating to Purchasing Department work.


• To perform any additional duties and/or special projects as requested by Purchase Manager, Procurement.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

• Skills – Communication skills, interpersonal skills


• Experience – 2 year experience on the same task
