Starting with the role:

Currently, we are searching to hire a Domestic Buyer who will be responsible for the identification of new products/ services and negotiations with potential vendors (product sourcing) for the retail store network and B2B client portfolio.

During your day you will:

• Act as a buyer for the retail store network and B2B client portfolio.
• Identify new products/services’ opportunities in the market and presents proposals/options to the Buying Head.
• Handle negotiations and agreements with potential vendors and provide complete proposals to the Buying Head, including:

1. the relevant due diligence process
2. price structure and discounts
3. ensuring optimum execution of company’s strategy

• Monitor competition’s product range, prices and promotions and propose actions to the Buying Head, if needed.
• Collaborate with Category Executives to create a complete portfolio of products and services to be approved by leadership.
• Collect marketing material from suppliers and update the Category Executives and the Marketing Department regarding the vendors’ marketing position for the product.
• Cooperate with Logistics Operations Executives to support stock optimization/availability and order placement.
• Track key business performance indicators (sales, volumes, margins, DSOs, etc ) to evaluate progress towards objectives and assist in the preparation of reports for the senior management.

What you need to stand out:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
• MBA or master’s degree with relevant specialization would be considered a plus.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Experience in account management of products and services and supplier negotiations.
• Familiarity with spend data analysis.
• Excellent communications skills both verbal and written, in Greek and English languages.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
• Multitasking personality.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, assess risks, and develop effective solutions.
