ASSISTANT WAITER/WAITRESS

JOB RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES

• Report to the Restaurant Manager


• Follow directions from the Head Waiter/Waitress in order to ensure exceptional guest service


• Preserve the workstation organized and stocked in order to better accommodate the needs of the Head Waiter/Waitress and of our guests


• Always ensure exceptional service, asking for feedback, aiming to the highest guest satisfaction


• Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene & appearance and follow all health and safety company regulations


• Assist and prepare all amenities to deliver them in compliance to our Astra Suites Standards


• Ensures that all special requests are communicated to the kitchen or other involved parties


• Takes orders in a friendly, courteous and efficient manner


• Ability to advise guests of appropriate combinations of food & drinks when requested


• Full knowledge of the food, ingredients & drinks of our menu


• Demonstrate a pleasant & positive professional image to both guests & the rest of the team


• Well presented and professionally groomed at all times


• Communicate any issues, challenges and complaints to Restaurant Manager in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• Experience of 2 years in a luxury hotel / high-end restaurant


• Ability to comprehend & communicate in English fluently


• Previous experience of POS systems, preferably Micros


• Teamwork spirit


• Highly self-motivated and capable of managing workload, prioritizing tasks.
