ICAP Executive Search, on behalf of a leading multinational company in the Financial Services sector, is seeking a highly competent and motivated professional for the role of Accounting Manager.

Accounting Manager (Ref. 5814/AM/ESS/GR)

This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced individual with in-depth expertise in accounting and financial reporting, particularly within the financial services industry.

Reporting to the CFO of the local entity, the selected candidate will take charge of all accounting operations, ensuring the smooth execution of financial processes and compliance, while leading and empowering the accounting team to achieve optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting and taxation processes, including period closings, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial statements.
• Prepare and submit financial reports in line with IFRS, both locally and to the parent company.
• Establish and maintain effective communication and processes with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Produce precise and legally compliant accounting reports.
• Ensure proper and timely execution of tax and VAT obligations in adherence to legal requirements.
• Supervise and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and intercompany transactions.
• Act as the main liaison with auditors and external advisors for financial and tax matters.
• Lead, mentor, and support the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement best practices, contributing to the optimization of accounting policies, systems, and processes.

Απαραίτητα Προσόντα:

• Proven experience of 7-10 years in a senior accounting position, preferably within a financial services organization.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., ACCA) is a strong advantage.
• Holder of a Greek Accountant Signatory A’ Class certification.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting and tax regulations, as well as fiscal compliance.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and advanced proficiency in MS Office tools.
• Fluency in both English and Greek, in written and verbal communication.
• Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.
