IT Billing Engineer

We are currently looking for a IT Billing Engineer to join our Information Technology & Digital Strategy team in our Athens Offices.

Your role will encompass:

• Write well-designed, testable and performant code
• Manages billing matters and makes checks and/or corrections when necessary
• Is involved in UAT's and QAT's for billing system changes
• Translates business requirements into functional specifications to third party services (developers) for process improvements
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
• Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
• Document and maintain software functionality
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
• Comply with project plans and industry standards
• Ensure software is updated with latest features
• Identifies and communicates opportunities to improve and enhance the billing system
• Is involved in 3rd level customer care support
• Participates in various ad hoc projects

What you bring to the role:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Master’s Degree in a related discipline will be considered an asset
• 3+ years of experience as IT Billing Operator in the retail industry
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL). Non-relational DBs are considered a plus
• Ability to develop software in Java script is essential
• Basic software development knowledge is essential
• Deep understanding of software design patterns
• Fluency in English is essential
• Proficiency in software engineering tools
