Responsibilities:

• Submits offers in the short-term electricity markets in which the PPC S.A. group operates
• Creates and updates forecasts of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) production and electricity demand, both at the national level and at the level of PPC portfolios
• Monitors real-time measurements daily of both the production of the RES stations and the consumption of loads, mainly in high and medium voltage
• Supervises the generating stations RES regarding their availability and communicates with respective producers
• Evaluates electricity production and demand forecasts for RES and demand portfolios respectively
• Leverages market data to prepare daily reports and draw useful conclusions
• Assists in formulating strategies optimizing participation in short-term markets
• Assists in automating bidding processes and improving related tools

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from a University in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, IT, Applied IT, Computer Science
• Master's degree related to Energy Markets will be considered an additional qualification
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in short-term electricity markets
• Experience in an energy management or/and energy trading company will be considered an additional qualification
• Energy certification as an electricity trader in short-term markets
• Knowledge of Power BI and/or data management, visualization and analysis tools and/or good knowledge of SQL and/or Python will be considered an additional qualification
• Good knowledge of the English language
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) & Internet
• Availability to work in flexible hours
• Availability in emergency cases (after telephone contact)
