Job Summary
Altair is looking for a detail-oriented Sales Operations Specialist with a strong analytical ability to join our Global Sales Operations team. This role will help to support the monthly commissions cycle, as well as work with the team to improve the entire sales compensation process.
Our team’s role is to identify, develop and manage strategic tools, training and processes for use throughout Altair's worldwide sales organization. This includes the areas of sales/opportunity management with our CRM and other sales-enablement tools, consulting/mentoring on strategic and complex sales, analysis of sales data used for forecasting and critical business decisions and overall sales-compensation design, implementation and management

Sales Operations Specialist

Job Summary
Altair is looking for a detail-oriented Sales Operations Specialist with a strong analytical ability to join our Global Sales Operations team. This role will help to support the monthly commissions cycle, as well as work with the team to improve the entire sales compensation process.

What You Will Do
- Help manage the monthly commissions cycle via our Sales Compensation System
- Prepare and submit commissions to HR on a monthly basis
- Communicate with sales people and sales management regarding compensation plans and commissions
- Troubleshoot issues with commission calculations
- Make updates to Sales Compensation System - set up new employees, handle changes to compensation plans, etc.
- Understand and implement Altair's compensation rules
- Coordinate with the Sales Compensation System vendor for support and enhancement of the system
What You Will Need:
- 2-5 years experience in Sales Operations/HR Operations
- Highly articulate with strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Very detail-oriented
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Strong math and analytics skills
- A fast learner
- Ability to manage complex situations
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work some US Eastern Time-zone hours
- Experience with commissions/sales compensation
- Experience with Xactly (or another sales compensation tool)
- Experience with Salesforce.com
