Responsibilities:

• Participates in the provision of specifications, the implementation and the testing of new systems and procedures for the new activities of energy wholesale markets
• Contributes to the development of tools and prepares procedures of the Short-term Transactions Department for the participation of the company as an Aggregator (FoSE) of storage systems in the short-term energy markets
• Contributes to the development of procedures and tools for the offers’ submission of new activities. Supports the exploration of bid strategy for the purpose of operating the business as Aggregator of storage systems or other new activity, with the aim of maximizing the value of each portfolio
• Contributes to the development of processes and tools to exploit market data, update reports, draw useful conclusions and submit offers for new activities
• Contributes to the development of procedures and the use of software related to the short-term planning of operation of storage portfolios (intramonth), with the aim of their optimal distribution and the maximization of the benefit from their participation in the short-term markets
• Contributes to the development of procedures for the preparation of regular reports to the Management regarding the markets data and results and the financial performance of the participation of relevant portfolios in the short-term energy markets
• Negotiates the portfolios of Storage Systems in the energy wholesale markets as required based on the needs of the Department

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from a University in Engineering or Applied Mathematics or Informatics or Applied Informatics
• Master’s degree in Energy or Energy Economics will be considered an additional qualification
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in short-term electricity markets
• Experience in a company of electricity production, trading, supply, transmission or distribution or in a consulting company in the energy sector will be considered an additional qualification
• Certification of electricity energy trader in short-term markets will be considered an additional qualification
• Certification of energy futures energy trader will be considered an additional qualification
• Experience in simulation/modeling of energy markets will be considered an additional qualification
• Knowledge and use of Power BI will be considered an additional qualification
• Excellent knowledge of the English language
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) & Internet
• Availability in flexible working hours
• Availability in case of emergency (upon phone contact)
