Junior Financial Controller

Lavipharm is looking for a Junior Financial Controller who will be reporting to the Lead Financial Planning & Analysis.

This role is responsible for providing reliable and meaningful financial information for specific legal entities in the group, to internal or external customers which includes the analysis of actual data as well as the preparation and maintenance of budgets, forecasts and business plans in order to ensure organizational financial growth.

More specifically, he/she:

· Produces and monitors monthly cost analysis reports on all levels, pinpointing variances in actual/budget/ forecast/ figures and provides reasonable explanations for specific legal entities of the Group

· Prepares and timely submits monthly financial reporting package to Lead Financial Planning & Analysis

· Prepares Impairment testing for IFRS requirements

· Updates and maintains the financial model to ensure that the actual values agree with the values in ERP System

· Tracks expenses vs. budget/ previous year, analyses fluctuations

· Involved in the budgetary control of expenditure applications

· Compiles result analysis reports, and any other reports requested, with suitable deviation explanations

· Supports accounting by preparing all relevant provisions and by ensuring the accuracy of actual accounting information

· Assists in preparing detailed departmental and operational budgets

· Provides daily support to all the departments and ad hoc-financial reports

· Assists in economic evaluations of new and ongoing projects

· Assists in the preparation and follow up of product costing

· Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a relevant position, preferable within the pharmaceutical industry

· Master of Science (MSc) in Finance or relevant would be an asset

· Costing know-how in a manufacturing environment will be an asset

· Good knowledge of IFRS

· Expertise in MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas)

· Familiarity with finance databases

· Hands-on experience with presenting financial data using detailed reports and charts

· Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

· Fluency in English
