A Snapshot of Your Day

Siemens Energy is currently implementing the High Voltage DC (HVDC) connection of Attica with Crete. In the frame of this project, SE is providing the electromechanical equipment at the converter stations at both sides of the connection (Koumoundouros/Aspropyrgos Attica and Damasta/Heraklion Crete).

We are looking for a Service Engineer to be hired for assisting in the maintenance of the equipment in the HVDC Converter Stations.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Some of the main activities will be:

• Performing various maintenance and repair works of HVDC systems in cooperation with internal specialists as well as customer’s on-site personnel. You will be also involved in the planning and implementation of manufacturer-specific maintenance works and processes based on the existing maintenance plan (such as regular inspection and preventive maintenance).
• Coordination of site activities and of the provision of the materials and tools required for the work and monitoring of the critical paths - settle procurement routes if needed; also coordinate site safety providing necessary EHS instructions to involved parties (internal or external)
• Perform the inventory of spare parts and tools and timely advise which need to be replenished. Regularly check the status and completeness of standard maintenance tools.
• If necessary, support sophisticated diagnostics for troubleshooting such as: first respond to client, advise HQ specialist without delay, following instruction of specialists to acquire necessary data in order to perform the failure analysis and to take measures to solve the problem and bring the system back into operation.
  
  
  

What You Bring

• Education background: degree in technical field (electrical or automation)
• Desire to learn and grow in a project-based business environment
• Previous experience with electrical equipment and basic understanding of maintenance of those equipments is a nice to have.
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to work closely with colleagues and customer to ensure effective collaboration and team work
• Very good knowledge of English both written and spoken. Greek language is required.
