The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for identifying and implementing professional development activities and training for all TAP employees across the four countries where TAP operates, aligning developmental initiatives and training programmes with the business goals and strategy of the company.

The role is based in Athens, Greece, and will require occasional travel to other TAP locations.

Your role


  • Prepare and implement learning strategies and programs across TAP
  • Develop and maintain suitable induction programme across the four countries where TAP operates
  • Collaborate with key areas of the business on talent mapping and succession planning
  • Collaborate with managers to develop their team members through career paths
  • Implement strategies to grow and retain talent and developing suitable training and development initiatives, aligning with HR and management
  • Review individual and organisational development needs, including – but not limited to - Operations and Maintenance teams in Greece, Albania and Italy
  • Manage an effective and engaging Annual Personal Development Review process and drive a culture of continuous professional development
  • Monitor the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities, in collaboration with management and HRBPs
  • Implement Annual Performance Review processes, across the four countries where TAP operates, in collaboration with managers and other HR departments
  • Ensure e-learning courses ٫ workshops and other trainings are accessible via HRMS. Monitor satisfaction and efficiency. Facilitate learning interventions where needed
  • Oversee budgets and negotiate contracts. Point of contact for L&D suppliers. Work closely with Procurement to select the most suitable suppliers.
  • Responsible for specific programmes such as Kaizen roll-out, Management skills ...
  • Provide analytics and efficiency reports to management on a monthly / quarterly / annual basis
  • Keep up to date with developments in training


Your profile


  • Proven experience in an L&D manager role in a complex multicultural matrix environment
  • Proven experience of the full training cycle, including needs analysis, delivery and evaluation, in collaboration with managers and HRPBs
  • Knowledge of key organisational culture and developmental topics such as Managerial Development, Upskilling, “Diversity,Equity&Inclusion”, Continuous Improvement
  • Knowledge or Reward strategies and their implementation
  • Knowledge of various training methods including coaching, workshops, classroom training, mentoring and e-learning programmes
  • Ability to track the performance of training programmes, write reports and recommend strategies for improvement
  • Project management
  • Experience developing and implementing training programmes, linking talent mapping, succession plans to talent learning journeys.
  • Experience in using HR systems, ideally Cornerstone; proficient in MS Office
  • University degree in Human Resources or Social sciences or equivalent, MBA preferred
  • Ethical hands-on approach with Collaborative and Inclusive mindset
  • Strong organisation, planning and time management skills
  • Client focused, business acumen and active listener
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence
  • Used to working in a matrix environment
  • High attention to details and accuracy with numbers and words
  • Strong interest and track record in Safety and Risk awareness
  • English (both written and spoken) at professional level
