Position Overview

We are seeking for a Senior Sustainability Risk Specialist to join our Group Sustainability Risk Unit (GSR) within our Group Risk Management. The GSR oversees and manages sustainability risks, including CR&E risks, in collaboration with the Group Senior Sustainability Officer as well as the ESG, Business, and Risk Units. It develops and implements sustainability risk frameworks, policies, and processes, reporting progress to the Board. The GSR also reviews and monitors the Financed Impact Strategy and Net Zero action plan, ensuring financial targets and KPIs are met. It manages the second line of defense for sustainable lending reassessment and characterizes Retail Portfolio products as sustainable. Lastly, the GSR develops and coordinates Climate Risk Stress Testing and Scenario Analysis at the Group level.

As a Sustainability Risk Specialist, You Will Be

• Review and challenge clients' ESG Risk scores and transition plans to ensure they align with the Bank’s sustainability goals and risk appetite.
• Perform 2nd Line of Defense independent sustainable lending assessment process to evaluate the sustainability of financial transactions.
• Perform materiality assessments of identified Sustainability risks across the organization.
• Evaluate products and services against established sustainable finance criteria in accordance with the Sustainable Finance Framework, ensuring they meet sustainability standards.
• Provide expertise in developing frameworks to integrate Sustainability risks into the overall risk management strategy.
  
  

You will be a great candidate for us if you:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Environmental Science, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Hold a post graduate degree in Finance, Environmental Science, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Have more than 5 years of experience in sustainability risk management or lending risk assessment process.
• Have strong analytical and communication skills.
• Are fluent in English and Greek, both oral and written.
• Have strong understanding of regulatory assessment requirements.
• Are able to establish a strong reputation, trust and manage working relationship with key stakeholders.
• Hold a PRM / FRM or similar professional certifications will be considered an asset.
• Have excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
