Senior Frontend Engineer - Remote - EU

Description

We are seeking a talented Senior Frontend Engineer based remotely in the EU with deep expertise in React to join our team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining high-performance, data-centric web applications that integrate seamlessly with third-party services and in-house APIs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building scalable, efficient frontends, as well as experience with state management, design systems (like Material UI), and working with backend teams. Familiarity with Next.js, refine.dev, and Python is advantageous.


Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality, performant web applications using React and associated libraries, with an emphasis on clean, maintainable code


• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate front-end components with in-house APIs and third-party services (GraphQL, REST, etc.)


• Focus on optimizing application performance, especially in data-heavy
  contexts


• Build reusable components and front-end libraries, adhering to modern best practices


• Implement responsive designs with cross-browser compatibility and ensure accessibility


• Conduct thorough testing, including unit and integration tests, to ensure
  robust and bug-free functionality
  
  
  

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience working with React.js and related libraries


• Proficiency in React.js core concepts, including hooks, context API, state management (e.g., Redux, Zustand), routing, error handling, and debugging


• Experience with TypeScript, including static types, interfaces, and generics


• Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+), CSS, and HTML


• Experience with design systems and UI libraries such as Material UI (MUI)


• Familiarity with form management libraries like Formik or react-hook-form


• Experience with data-heavy applications, including integrating with GraphQL, REST APIs, etc.


• Knowledge of charting libraries like Highcharts, Plotly.js


• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment platforms, including Vercel or serverless architectures


• Understanding of version control systems (git) and dependency managers (npm, yarn)


• A passion for building user-friendly, high-performance applications, especially in environments with heavy data processing or visualisations

Desirable skills:

• Python experience is a plus, especially in collaborating with backend teams


• Familiarity with frameworks like Next.js and refine.dev for building complex admin dashboards or data-driven applications


• Familiarity with server-side rendering (SSR) and Next.js for improved performance and SEO, though deep expertise in SSR is not mandatory
