ROLE SUMMARY
The Digital Hosting Solutions (DHS) team represents the Digital Center of Excellence (CoE) for cloud infrastructure capabilities, providing foundational public and private cloud services to all business lines, globally across Pfizer. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Cloud Developer role will work within the FinOps product domain within DHS. This role will collaborate closely with the FinOps product owner and other Pfizer engineering teams to support releases of Pfizer's foundational FinOps platform and associated automations that drive efficient use of cloud services. The ideal candidate will be able to work with programming languages such as Python, SQL and be able to manage and build ETL workflows and other automations.
- Play a key role in the development, maintenance and support of Pfizer's custom FinOps platform for cost visibility and optimization across multiple platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP).
- Maintain, support and enhance existing automations for Pfizer resource scheduler capability and other automations across cloud offerings.
- Commit to ongoing learning and professional development.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, with experience utilizing cloud technologies.
- 3+years of cloud-specific experience with Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.
- Candidates must be highly motivated and capable of working independently.
- Experience with Python, SQL or similar programming languages.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements and constraints.
- Ability to use creative thinking and advanced problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and Jira is desired.
- Demonstrated ability to work in an agile work environment possessing qualities such as a collaborative mindset, adaptability to change, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP, such as Solutions Architect or Cloud Practitioner.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and security standards in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Working knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and Jira is desired.
