Payroll Specialist

Location: Thessaloniki, Greece

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team and support the accurate and timely processing of payroll operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for payroll administration, reporting, compliance, and employee support, ensuring adherence to all applicable labor and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter and maintain payroll data in the company's payroll system (Business Payroll)
  • Submit employment schedules and payroll-related information through the Ergani system
  • Process weekly and monthly payroll accurately and on time
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports and perform payroll-related accounting tasks
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, deductions, and related matters
  • Manage digital work cards and ensure compliance with relevant procedures
  • Prepare monthly payroll reports and maintain payroll records
  • Collaborate with the HR department and line managers to obtain and verify payroll-related information
  • Update paper and electronic payroll records to reflect changes in compensation, benefits, and employee status
  • Calculate and process taxes, deductions, and other payroll adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with labor legislation, company policies, and payroll procedures

Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Payroll Specialist or similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working with payroll and financial systems
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented approach
  • Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and delivering high-quality results
