The Team

Our Athens office forms part of Norton Rose Fulbright's global corporate practice, which is renowned for its expertise and track record in corporate transactions. Our team in Athens, integrated with the firm’s international network, provides clients with comprehensive legal advice on national and cross-border transactions.

The Role

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Corporate Lawyer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work with our leading corporate team, participate in complex transactions, and collaborate with colleagues around the world. Candidates must be fluent in both written and spoken English and Greek and be admitted to the Greek Bar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in a wide spectrum of Corporate/M&A transactions involving national and multinational corporate clients and private equity funds.
  • Work collaboratively with international legal teams, gaining valuable international market exposure.
  • Provide legal advice and support on corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, and corporate governance documents.
  • Conduct due diligence investigations and assess legal risks associated with corporate transactions.
  • Advise clients on corporate governance matters, compliance issues, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop and implement effective legal strategies.

Key Skills And Experience

  • Greek law qualified (although England & Wales qualified would be considered).
  • Ideally between 1-4 years of experience in the corporate and M&A field.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken Greek & English.
