Executive Chef

The totally renovated 4* Aeolos Beach Hotel at Kos island is looking to hire an experienced HeadChef to join its team for the tourism season 2026. The ideal candidate is a high energy, hands on professional, able to cope in a demanding work environment havingimpeccable job standards. The Head Chef will ensure gastronomicalexpectations and the efficient operation of the kitchen of a 228 rooms beachresort.

Main duties

• Responsiblefor a central kitchen that prepares meals for 2 restaurants 3 times a day.
• Reportsto the Hotel Manager
• Dailycooperation with the Maitre d’hotel
• Supervise the activities of the kitchen staff
• Planningand directing food preparation and cooking activities
• Arranging equipment purchases and repairs
• Recruitmentand management of kitchen staff
• Remedyproblems or complaints that arise
• Finalediting of the appearance of meals - buffet
• Performingadministrative duties
• Compliancewith nutritional regulations, hygiene rules and safety standards
• Maintainingtime and payroll records

​Necessary qualifications

• Culinary school graduate
• Previous experience of no less than 3 years in a similar position in a 4* & 5* star hotels
• Talent and knowledge of gastronomical art
• Controlling and directing the food preparation process and any other relative activities.
• Constructing menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings.
• Approving cooked meals before reaching guests
• Adaptability, efficiency under pressure
• Excellent knowledge of hygiene, safety and food handling procedures
• Professional appearance and demeanor, good communication skills - team spirit
• Experience in costing, ordering, receiving, proper storage and preservation conditions of food
• Leadership and organizational skills
• Flexibility and adaptability in demanding situations
• Valid health certificate
