Position Overview

As a Pastry Assistant Cook, he/she will support the Pastry Chef in crafting high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods for all resort restaurants, and special theme buffets. Expected to bring precision, artistry, and enthusiasm to every creation, helping deliver the sweet touches that elevate our guests’ experience.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation, baking, and finishing of a wide variety of pastries, breads, cakes and tarts.

Follow established recipes, techniques, and presentation standards as directed by the Pastry Chef.

Contribute creative input to dessert presentations and buffet displays.

Maintain daily mise en place for the pastry station and ensure readiness for service.

Decorate cakes and desserts with an emphasis on consistency and visual appeal.

Support the production of desserts theme buffets and other resort functions.

Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of all ingredients and finished products.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen, including equipment, tools, and work areas.

Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.

Qualifications

Pastry school diploma or pastry training strongly preferred.

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a professional pastry kitchen, ideally within a hotel environment.

Strong foundational knowledge of baking, pastry techniques, and dessert presentation.

Excellent attention to detail.

Knowledge of HACCP and safe food-handling procedures.

Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
