The opportunity

Leveraging an extensive global network, our Strategy and Transactions team provides sector-focused advice on transactions from inception to closing and on finance raising assignments. We have ambitious plans and we are seeking highly-performing and experienced corporate finance and transactions professionals to join our team at the level of Senior Analyst, with a particular focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Working in a multi-national environment, the candidates are expected to work on a range of transactions and finance raisings, from local to cross-border assignments, with a particular focus and emphasis on the energy and infrastructure sectors. Working in this creative environment, they will be given the opportunity to work and take responsibilities on challenging projects, both within Greece and the South Cluster of the CESA region.

Your Key responsibilities

  • Demonstrate understanding of the M&A and finance raising processes
  • Understand the energy and infrastructure sectors and identify key drivers, business and regulatory developments, whilst monitoring macro and market developments
  • Involvement in the execution of M&A and finance raisings in the energy and infrastructure sectors, including target screening, preparation of transaction / finance raising marketing materials (teasers, memoranda), valuation and investment appraisal, project management, negotiations and support in drafting finance and transaction documents

  • Involvement in the execution of business planning, financial feasibility and investment appraisal engagements in the context of finance raisings or evaluation of investment opportunities in the energy and infrastructure sectors

  • Involvement in the execution of market analyses and regulatory overviews in the energy and infrastructure sectors

  • Develop financial models as appropriate in the context of the above assignments

  • Provide support in business development and marketing pursuit opportunities

  • Attend client meetings alongside more senior members of the team

To qualify for the role, you should be able to demonstrate

  • Excellent academic background, including a Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration (MBA) and / or other related field with strong quantitative focus

  • 3 – 5 years in the corporate finance field acquired through work experience in a commercial or investment bank, Big5 firm, or the M&A, strategy or corporate development department of an energy or infrastructure firm
  • Experience in energy (with focus on Renewables) and infrastructure sectors, with exposure in PPP, concession and privatization projects

  • Strong numerical/quantitative skills and a sound grasp of financial accounting. Within this context, CFA, ACCA or other professional qualification will be also considered an asset

  • Strong financial modeling skills developed through experience in corporate finance and transaction assignments

  • MS PowerPoint and MS Word skills in developing quality presentations and reports

  • Very good written and verbal skills in Greek and English

  • Team player able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to take initiative and work effectively under pressure
