Electrical Project Engineer - Oil & Gas (Fixed Term)

On behalf of our client, a global leader company in Oil & Gas industry, we are currently looking for a senior Electrical Project Engineer, to join their technical office team in Komotini, northeastern Greece.

A day in the life of an Electrical Project Engineer

You will be responsible for managing the discipline activity during project execution or bid phase, ensuring that corporate and project procedures are correctly applied and that project deliverables are issued according to the schedule and within approved budget.

Your day-to-day

• Review and comment of technical annexes included in the contract

• Prepare the applicable standards and technical specifications

• Management of discipline men-hours, promptly reporting any disruptions and/or any additional requirements

• Attendance in relevant meetings as kick off meeting and project review meeting with Client, or internally

• Produce the Electrical Engineering project deliverables list, including checks required by the other disciplines and act as discipline approver for all Electrical Engineering deliverables

• Perform electrical design study as Load Flow, Short Circuit, Earthing and Motor Start Calculation

• Check of subcontracted discipline engineering documents and Vendor information reviews

• Establish and maintain effective interface between the Instrumentation project team and other disciplines teams, Project Management, Client representative

• Ensure adequate flow of design information to the other members of the design team

• Examine the contractual Vendor List with the Procurement Department

• Provide assistance during procurement, construction and commissioning activities

• Provide progress reporting and forecasting

• Ensure working procedures are followed and that compliance with relevant QA/QC systems is achieved

• Ensure deliverables quality in term of technical content, compliance with design criteria, international standards and contractual requirements

• Monitor of design discrepancies between detail phase and bidding phase

• Make available interdisciplinary technical information as required by other disciplines and according to project schedule

• Provide Vendor and Client follow-up technical support

• Ensure technical support during bidding phase and estimation

Requirements:

• Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of senior experience in the role, being able to preside individually the full life cycle of an EPC project

• Consolidate knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of Civil Engineering and accurate competences of techniques and tools

• Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, planning and organizing ability, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, leadership qualities and efficient team management skills and adaptability
