Quality Inspector Mechanical - Oil & Gas (Fixed Term)

On behalf of our client, a global leader company in Oil & Gas industry, we are currently looking for a senior Quality Inspector Mechanical, to join the QA/QC team in Komotini, northeastern Greece.

A day in the life of a Quality Inspector Mechanical

Perform inspection and supervision of the mechanical Activity installation and test activities carried out on the construction sites and/or Subcontractor's work scopes in accordance with approved subcontractors inspection points and related notifications.

Ensure that Mechanical activities are carried out internally or by Sub-contractor are in accordance with approved Procedures, Specifications, and relevant codes & Standards to review the relevant document prior to start of construction.

Your day-to-day

• Plan and manage the work load

• Implement a quality plan for this project, which include inspection, testing and proper documentation and ensure that all works complied with Client/Contractor

• Implement coverage of proper installation, Piping, Equipment and related support

• Ensure that all related inspection and testing activities with regards to Environment, Health & Safety procedures and maintenance rules are respected

• Monitor the performance of construction to ensure the respect of work standards and project specifications

• Perform proactive surveillance inspection to minimize or avoid discrepancy and non-conformance rectification cost and time

• Coordinate and assist construction to resolve any encountered problems related to inspection and testing activities to meet schedule and avoid any delay of activities

• Initiate remedial or corrective action based on standard, code, and specification

• Inspect and witness the construction works as per their approved Inspection Test Plan

• Invite Client/Contractor for witness and hold points in Inspection/Test

• Ensure the effective coordination with the client related to inspection, testing activities and documentation

• Ensure the implementation of Contractual Inspection and Tests

• Prepare internal punch list and coordinate with the construction prior for inspection

• Coordinate with the client for punch list closure and final acceptance

• Witness and liaise with vendor/contractor for any related electrical equipment testing activities

• Maintain all Quality Control Report

• Comply with the highest level of safety during all stages of project execution to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents

• Make sure the activities are conducted in strict respect of the Health and Safety project requirements and other applicable standards

Requirements:

• At least 8 years of related work experience in the field of quality assurance and quality control, including 5 years’ experience in quality management of construction projects

• Understanding of O & G documentation and specification review

• Mechanical Completion procedure and commissioning ie ITP, ITR, Punchlist and Dossier

• Extensive knowledge of quality assurance/quality control management practices, processes and current technology

• Proficiency in the use of computers and software packages related to field

• Proven experience in directing and implementing quality management systems and standards specified by ISO 9000, ASME, ANSI, ASTM and similar organizations

• Proven experience as an auditor using ISO 9000 standards

• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to, conduct presentations to management, and interface effectively with a diverse group of professionals

• Good knowledge of quality control program requirements and special process / test techniques required

• Working knowledge of codes, construction sequencing, scheduling, safety regulations and engineering drawing knowledge

• Must be able to evaluate information and analyze problems logically to develop solutions

• Capable of planning and coordinating the activities of others with excellent communication and interpersonal skill essential.
