As the Ecommerce Product Owner, your primary focus will be enhancing how customers discover products and services on our site and improving the overall online shopping experience. You will be responsible for onsite search improvements, proposing user navigation ideas, and managing new features such as personalization, and implementing new sorting and recommendation features.
- Onsite Product Discovery: Work towards optimizing how customers discover products and services onsite. This includes refining our onsite search engine to ensure customers can easily find the products and services they are looking for.
- User Navigation: Contribute innovative ideas to enhance user navigation, making it easier and more intuitive for customers to browse and shop on our platform. You will aim to help customers find what they need faster and with less friction, improving their overall shopping experience.
- Personalization: Oversee the development and implementation of personalized features that cater to the individual needs and preferences of each customer. This includes customized product recommendations, user-specific promotions, and other personalized shopping experiences.
- Sorting and Recommendations: Manage the development of advanced sorting features to better organize products based on customers' preferences and past behavior. Also, oversee the creation of intelligent recommendation features that suggest products that align with customer preferences and purchase history.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the ecommerce team, as well as cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, customer service, and IT, to ensure that the ecommerce product meets the needs of the customer and achieves the company’s business objectives.
- Product Vision: Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners. Your role involves defining the product strategy and roadmap, as well as communicating it effectively across the organization.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in ecommerce conversion rate optimization, customer retention, or digital marketing roles.
- Analytical skills with experience in using analytics tools such as Google Analytics or similar platforms.
- Experience in testing, user testing, and data analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with ecommerce platforms and content management systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to think strategically, problem-solve, and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent understanding of customer discovery and online shopping convenience strategies.
- Familiarity with onsite search optimization and user navigation best practices.
- Ability to develop and implement personalized shopping experiences and advanced sorting features.
- Experience in managing product recommendations systems.
