Freight Operator

Main Purpose:

Back office documentation coordination (cargo manifests, BL drafts, custom requirements, sales and purchase invoicing, Navitrans entries, IMO/Hazardous Cargo declarations)

Handle container import/export/cross-trade transports, including administration.

Support functions with rate negotiations, new customer development

Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

• Knowledge: Container import/export/cross-trade shipments, in-depth understanding of international terms (incoterms), knowledge of customs clearance formalities.


• Good notions of international trade and warehousing-terminal activities.


• Bachelor degree, preferably Business Administration, Shipping, Logistics Management or similar.


• Fluent in spoken and written English.


• Punctual, great teammate, process oriented, organized and methodical with work.


• Eager to learn


• Able to work with MS Office 2010, and ability to operate our in-house software system after training.


• Proactive and detailer


• Desired working experience of min 1 year from relevant field

Key Responsibilities

• Booking coordination for ocean shipments


• Documentation and follow up for ocean shipments


• Monitor and update documentation for internal procedures


• Follow up and monitoring International Full truck shipments


• Follow up entries in systems (incl invoicing where appropriate)
